Al Barsha Project

Challenges on this project were long passages on both sides from the main entrance leading to a swimming pool in the backyard, which had no shower area, and all guests had to use the guest bathroom inside the house, which was all the way down and through the kitchen.

As a solution to this challenge, we designed and divided the passage into 4 separate but interlinked areas.

  1. Front garden with lots of sitting and movable bar to entertain guests. There is an option to open only this area for a few guests or close friends for shisha night.
  2. Dividing the passage into the vegetable patch with colorful vegetables to create visual interest. The reason is that seasonal vegetables would bring in an array of colors, and this area will forever bloom and will look different from season to season.
  3. Barbeque area with dining. Connection area to the pool, providing extra seating and keeping an eye on the kids during pool parties.
  4. Leading to a pool in the backyard. We added a rain shower with a forest around it for partial privacy once plants are fully grown.

This challenge is tackled now to move on to the next one.
